My writing journey
I love telling stories for other people. My writing journey began back in 2002 when, fresh out of university, I landed my first reporting job at a local weekly newspaper in Derbyshire. Since then I’ve worked for a regional daily, launched a magazine all about wood (I kid you not) and edited, project managed and written for various other titles in the ensuing decade, mainly for membership organisations, but with a sprinkling of lifestyle titles mixed in between.
Nearly 20 years on and I’m still wedded to the written word, although these days I prefer to help aspiring or published authors with a passion project, or social enterprises or entrepreneurs with a mission to improve the wellbeing of others; for me, there’s no greater professional ‘kick’ than knowing that my contribution has, in some small way, helped a person or organisation to achieve their ambition.
To find out more about how I could help you, go to my authors and organisations pages, which outline in more detail the services that I offer. I look forward to hearing from you.

“I have worked with Carina across a variety of editorial and digital focused projects. She has always been a huge asset to these as she displays the ability to learn about complex landscapes and guide the direction of the subject at hand in a reasoned and well structured manner. She can think strategically about how to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences in a clear, concise and creative manner. She also has a wicked sense of humour that makes tackling sometimes dry subjects a lot of fun without compromising on her professionalism.”
